Why do women believe in peeing standing up?

Why is it good for women to pee standing, then? Here is why.

Once women learn the technique and get good at it, it is faster, is often cleaner (some women who pee standing say that they don't even really need to wipe because the pee doesn't get on them), allows them to use water-saving urinals, and is far more efficient for outdoor situations because it frequently allows them to take down less clothing (i.e., preserves modesty) as well as lets them avoid squatting near insects and unpleasant plants or sitting on dirty things. Many women who do it just find it more interesting and entertaining as well.

Sure, in the majority of cases women have to touch their labia, which may be a reason behind the "ew" comments, but why is that such a big deal? It's just a part of their own bodies, being used for a necessary bodily function (peeing). I don't approve of masturbation or similar sexual activities for certain reasons (unrelated to any sort of fear of body parts), but peeing standing has nothing to do with that. Males hold their penises when they pee, and this has nothing to do with masturbation and is not sexual. How is it supposedly different with girls?

However, it is probably a relatively small fraction (unless a LOT of girls know how but just keep totally quiet). An immense number of women are brainwashed with current society's ideas and think that women should / have to sit (hence all the moronic answers that tend to dominate these questions on Y!A). Chances are, however, that if they had been taught while growing up that standing was acceptable and convenient (which it is / should be), they would have no problems with standing and might well prefer it.

It's not necessarily that they're standing up but squatting. I'd like to know how they did that. Question about burning sensation during and after peeing for women?

BTW, UTI's are most commenly caused by being too clean down there. Like if you get soap (or bubblebath) up into the urinary tract it upsets the natural balance of things and causes an infection. I used to get them all the time cuz I took baths instead of showers.
